Pros: Top-spec materials inside and out make for good looking, sturdy headphones, while the array of different-sized ear gels should find favor in even the most unusually-shaped ear-canals. And at just $59.95, they’re less than Apple’s own in-ear headphones.
Cons: Despite media playback being present on most cellphones, the i-Series headphones will only play nicely with Apple and RIM handsets. Sound quality is likely to pale compared to true audiophile headphones.
Recommendation: In a crowded market, the Platinum i-Series does little to stand out, offering neither bargain performance nor superlative quality. Sadly that’s enough to prevent them from moving forward.
