The Pitch: These superfast 2- and 4-port HDMI KVMP switches offer USB 2.0 sharing, which allows them to support video resolutions of up to 1080p.
Pros: In addition to being the first KVMs with HDMI 1.3b compliancy, they feature two USB ports for easy device sharing, IOGear’s patented Display Emulation Technology, and asynchronous hotkey switching.
Cons: A steep price tag — $319.95 for the 2-port — may keep the average consumer away, but still may appeal to those in need of an HDMI-enabled KVMP switch
Recommendation: If you need to have the functionality of multiple machines, but only want to use one keyboard or mouse, look no further than this product. However, KVMP switches – even with HDMI – are not a new concept, and are not worthy to move on.
