The Pitch: The original Eye-Fi made it possible for you to wirelessly upload your photos from your digital camera to your computer or any photo site. Now Eye-Fi is doing the same thing with your videos. This latest innovation, which is not yet in cards, will not only upload videos, but will even allow you to share your videos in real time, over the internet

Pros: The original Eye-Fi works great for uploading photos wirelessly, and now the latest version is doing the same thing for videos. You can throw your USB cable and cradle away forever.

Cons: Videos are much larger than pictures so you have to stay in a coverage area much longer to guarantee the upload was successful. Plus, there are no cards for sale yet (or even made).

Recommendation: Uploading videos is the new thing, and all generations shoot and upload to the web these days. Instead of having to tether your camera or buy a special camera, you can now shoot with your favorite digital camera and immediately have the video uploaded to the internet. I definitely recommend that the Eye-Fi Video move forward in the competition.

The EyeFi card is awesome. My wife never has to badger me to upload her photos to her computer; it just happens when she returns to her office and turns on her camera. The entire user experience has been thought through SO WELL, it is an awesome product. I liked the one that I got her for her birthday so much, I bought my own!

    The Eye-fi card rocks.
  • I'm photographer living in France. Eye-Fi Card is, for me, the most important event since the first digital camera. Eye-Fi Card is a formidable step forward for the freedom of communication. For photographie, numerous practices became possible with this concept.
Absolutely free, with my eye behind my camera, I'm connecting to the World. It's magical.
Excuse me for my practice of the English language, it's easier for me to write in French

Our Host: Robin Raskin
...is a veteran tech journalist and founder of Living in Digital Times. She created Last Gadget Standing.

How it works:

We welcome any and all 'hot' products slated to appear at CES. Our experts screen them. They'll continue to narrow the list until we get to a Top 25 and then a Top 10. We'll also conduct a online vote among the Top 25 to determine a "people's winner." The Top 10 will appear at a CES supersession where a live voting audience will determine which deserves to be the Last Gadget Standing.

When: Saturday, 10:30 a.m., Jan. 9, 2010

Where: Room N255-257, LVCC, North Hall, 2010 International Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas.
