The Pitch: A powerhouse wireless mouse with plenty of buttons, plenty of configuration, and a laser that will work on glass. Sure, the Darkfield Laser will strike most as a gimmick, but it’s a gimmick that might be useful for some. This mouse has plenty of heft, but an ergonomic design makes it comfortable for all but the smallest hands (left-handers need not apply). It comes a wide array of buttons and an easy-to-use desktop configuration tool to get them all set up. Battery life is good for a couple of weeks, but you will want to keep an eye on it. Another thing to keep an eye on: the scroll wheel, which offers two modes of scrolling but can be a little fiddly at times.
Pro: In addition to being wireless, it can be recharged via any Micro USB cable, which then turns it into a standard USB mouse. Clever
Con: Requires a (very) small USB dongle to work — I’d much prefer it just use Bluetooth. The scroll wheel is sometimes aggravating to use.
Recommendation: It’s just a mouse, but it’s the polar opposite of the recently-released Magic Mouse from Apple and, thus, merits the attention of anybody turned off by that button-less form. I use this mouse every day and would recommend it to power users everywhere.
