The Pitch: Kempler & Strauss’s W PhoneWatch is billed as the world’s tiniest GSM quad-band mobile phone watch. It works with Bluetooth systems like headsets and car systems, but it also features a “W Communicator” micro-handset, which also doubles as a Bluetooth headset. The W PhoneWatch boasts a touchscreen for finger-inputs. The microSD card slot allows you to take your MP3s with you. To top it all off, there’s a teeny tiny camera in there somewhere!

Pro: Convenient in that your watch is your mobile phone; touchscreen; microSD card slot.

Con: Bulky design — you’ll get looks, but probably not the good kind; small screen and big fingers don’t go well together

Recommendation: The W PhoneWatch’s design feels a bit uninspired, especially with compelling alternatives from big-name phone manufacturers.

Price: $199.99

Our Host: Robin Raskin
...is a veteran tech journalist and founder of Living in Digital Times. She created Last Gadget Standing.

How it works:

We welcome any and all 'hot' products slated to appear at CES. Our experts screen them. They'll continue to narrow the list until we get to a Top 25 and then a Top 10. We'll also conduct a online vote among the Top 25 to determine a "people's winner." The Top 10 will appear at a CES supersession where a live voting audience will determine which deserves to be the Last Gadget Standing.

When: Saturday, 10:30 a.m., Jan. 9, 2010

Where: Room N255-257, LVCC, North Hall, 2010 International Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas.
