You may have noticed recently that some votes have disappeared from the Last Gadget Standing Ballot Box results page. Well your eyes are not deceiving you, some votes have been removed, due to the fact that there were apparently some voting shenanigans going on.

So we called in former President Jimmy Carter to monitor the election. Not really; we had our software engineers take a look, and it turned out that multiple votes were coming from the same few computers. They took the time to validate each vote and eliminate invalid votes, and those are the totals you see on the page today.

When we said vote early and often, we meant up to your allotted 25 votes. We are running on an honor system here: It is possible to vote more than once, but we are trusting our readers not to game the system and stuff the ballot box — no matter how much you may love it.

We are trying to keep it fair here, and we are asking you to do the same. If you haven’t voted yet, VOTE NOW! If you have, please check out the results of the online poll. Remember, voting ends at the stroke of midnight on Friday night.

Our Host: Robin Raskin

How it works:

We welcome any and all 'hot' products slated to appear at CES. Our experts screen them. They'll continue to narrow the list until we get to a Top 25 and then a Top 10. We'll also conduct a online vote among the Top 25 to determine a "people's winner." The Top 10 will appear at a CES supersession where a live voting audience will determine which deserves to be the Last Gadget Standing.

When: Saturday, 10:30 a.m., Jan. 9, 2010

Where: Room N255-257, LVCC, North Hall, 2010 International Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas.
