Designed to complement the modern home office, the Calisto 835 was developed after extensive ethnographic research. Built to address the pain-points that people experience when trying to stay connected via multiple communication tools such as Skype, a mobile phone and a home landline, the Calisto 835 allows users to communicate easily regardless of device using a familiar dial pad interface.

The Calisto 835 unifies calls from a computer, mobile phone and a landline through its intuitive visual display. Device setup is effortless and fast – in less than five minutes users are up and running and able to switch between calls, dial, and mute across devices at the touch of a button. Meant for private and home office workers who depend on multiple communication devices, this robust solution offers connectivity and call control with an analog phone line, a mobile phone over Bluetooth and a computer over USB.

The sleek device includes a large touch screen with backlit buttons and an easy to identify muting feature so people are confident knowing they are muted. The Calisto 835 comes with a wireless lapel microphone that supports natural sounding conversations and freedom of movement. No more hunching over a speakerphone! If privacy is desired, the Calisto 835 also includes a headset connection port that allows you to make calls private or you can connect a Bluetooth headset and roam up to 33 feet.

The only computer audio accessory that multitasks like you do, everyone from general consumers to mobile professionals will find this hands free speakerphone an invaluable computer accessory.

I use it at home. It connects to my mobile and PC and landline so if I get get a call from any one of those devices, it goes through the Calisto 830. Pretty cool. I dont have to run around trying to find my cell phone. The user interface is really easy to use – well organized and intuitive. And you can’t miss the mute button (it’s pretty big) which is a lifesaver when my dog starts barking.

This is a great product. I got it when I started doing routine Skype conference calls with Asia every night from home and it is so nice to be handsfree. Works better than the $1k audio conference system we have at my work as people tell me I sound better than calls I had earlier in the day. The huge mute indication is great too so there is no doubt if you want to be sure you are muted when the kids are trying to bug you to get off the call. Would definitely reccomend.

The Calisto P835 was designed for the Home User’s needs. With so many devices and ways to call, it is nice to have a unified communication hub that can simplify my life. I really like the Bluetooth sync to my cell phone. (My cell phone ring tone came through the unit)

I use this in my home office and love the quality and convenience it provides – a great speakerphone for landline, PC, and mobile calls. Or headset if that is preferred. It’s especially fabulous with Microsoft Lync – the integration is so seamless and so cool. When I’m not working at home I miss it! Definitely a 5-star product.

I use this device at home and enjoy good quality internet radio so I can relax during my day. When I recieve an incoming call the device is intellegent enough to mute my pc sound and I can easily answer the incoming call with a push of a button. The sound quality is incredible on both ends so I never use my handset anymore. I am personally not fond of the touch screen but I give the product 5 stars anyway.

About

Last Gadget Standing

The Last Gadget Standing looks for products that are more than just a flash in the pan. They are products that will endure and are pioneering the ways in which the digital world will change. Any exhibitor at CES can enter a product into the Last Gadget Standing – though it must be a , not a service or software. Products need to have shipped during 2011 or be available for shipping by the end of Q2 of 2012. We honor NDAs and we reserve two spaces for products that have winner potential but won’t be announced until the show.

Old timers, sorry, but we’ve had to include a small entrée fee this year to cover the costs of the production and space. There is a $500 entry fee.

How We Judge Your Products

Our panel of expert judges have multiple years of expertise in reviewing products. Judges include Michael Miller, Harry McCracken, Dan Costa, Mellissa Perenson, and Joanna Stern. Our experts review your applications and narrow the list down to 25 semi-finalists. Each product submitted gets a description on the website and readers are welcome to comment. The judges will write reviews of the 25 semifinalists and we’ll continue to solicit reader comments until we narrow the list down to the Top 10.

The Top Ten finalists are invited to the Vegas stage where we play to a full house. Entertainment and fun are just and important as educating the audience about your product. We encourage you to watch the videos from past years and get a feel for this very different type of event. At the same time that the audience is voting live in Las Vegas we will also be asking our online followers to vote among the same top ten and choose a "people's winner." A press release announcing the winners will go out the moment the show has ended.

Special Host

We’re extremely lucky this year to have Gary “Bababooey” Dell’Abate and Jon Hein, of the Howard Stern Wrap Up Show to emcee the Last Gadget Standing . They love products and they love the CES crowd.
