EDITOR’s REMARKS
The Samsung Galaxy Nexus, the first Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich) phone is large but still relatively light, and quite capable with a 4.65-inch, 1280 by 720 display, dual-core processor, and 32MB of internal memory. As such it’s fast and quite smooth.
Most importantly, though, it runs the new Ice Cream Sandwich version of Android, which uses software buttons to let you easily scroll through recently run applications, go back a screen, or return to your home screen. The browser in particular seems much faster. Other new features include face recognition for unlocking the phone, much improved camera controls, better cloud integration, and a new mobile data usage monitor. The phone is also designed for Near Field Communications, though Google Wallet is not currently available. And of course, it runs the many application s in the Android Market.
Pros: good performance, large display, improved operating system and browser, face recognition, many Android applications
Cons: may be too large for some, relatively weak camera, less social media integration that some other Android phones, pricey

We’re extremely lucky this year to have Gary “Bababooey” Dell’Abate and Jon Hein, of the Howard Stern Wrap Up Show to emcee the Last Gadget Standing . They love products and they love the CES crowd.
