On first glance, the DROID DNA from HTC looks like just another Droid, but on closer inspection it reveals some great features. It is extremely stylish and thin. The device lays claim to having the first true 1080 HD experience on a phone in the U.S. It’s presented on a very crisp 5″ diagonal screen. It has a Qualcomm Snapdragon quad 4 processor, which makes it fast and responsive, and makes watching streaming video a joy. The camera has a number of enhancements, including geotagging, continuous shooting, and the ability to pull stills out of video. But what surprised me the most was its Beats audio circuitry; the resulting sound (with a decent set of headphones) may be the best I’ve ever heard from a smartphone. Overall the Droid DNA raises the bar for a stylish top-of-the-line phone.
