Finalists will be selected from among all entrants by a panel of covering the industry in connection with an online vote.

Only finalists will present at the Last Gadget Standing.

To qualify for participation in the Last Gadget Standing:

1. You must be an exhibitor at CES either at your own booth or a booth hosted by a partner.

2. Your submitted product must ship by Q3, 2010.

3. If your product is under NDA until CES, please make these restrictions clear in your nomination, and we can discuss details of how to handle that NDA.

If accepted as a candidate, you MUST agree to:

1. Disclose your product to our readers by Nov. 15 * If you are under NDA until CES but wish to participate, you may qualify for a special waiver. Please contact us for more details.

2. Furnish a detailed product description, product photo and speaker’s photo for the web site.

3. Provide one product for The Last Gadget Standing display on the CES show floor.

4. Provide a contact that is reachable on Dec. 15, 2009. We will be notifying finalists on that date, so it is very important that we are able to email with and speak to this contact to give them additional details about what is further required to be part of this event.

5. Be prepared to have a speaker demonstrate the product during CES in a 4-minute, entertainment-filled presentation. This is a must, since we will be notifying finalists on Dec. 15, 2009.

6. Have a company representative willing to log in to NetShelter to participate in a dialog with readers (once a week is plenty) once they are beginning to comment on your product on our websites.

7. Attend a rehearsal on January 8, 2010

How it works:

We welcome any and all 'hot' products slated to appear at CES. Our experts screen them. They'll continue to narrow the list until we get to a Top 25 and then a Top 10. We'll also conduct a online vote among the Top 25 to determine a "people's winner." The Top 10 will appear at a CES supersession where a live voting audience will determine which deserves to be the Last Gadget Standing.

When: Saturday, 10:30 a.m., Jan. 9, 2010

Where: Room N255-257, LVCC, North Hall, 2010 International Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas.
