As the founder of getgeeked Media, he is building a community of tech enthusiasts that companies can engage throughout the year to get feedback on their products. At getgeeked Media’s unique annual New York and San Francisco events, companies can meet with the press and influencers at one event and generate the buzz and content it takes to succeed today. Prior to founding getgeeked Media, Barry was the creator of the extremely successful gdgt Live event series for gdgt.com, a tech review and community website founded by Engadget co-founders Peter Rojas and Ryan Block. From 2004 – 2008, Barry served as the Director of DigitalLife, the massive pre-holiday event he helped create. DigitalLife was produced by Ziff Davis Media and held annually at the Javits Convention Center. In its final year, over 250 companies exhibited at DigitalLife and the event was attended by almost 60,000 people. Barry has worked with virtually every major consumer technology brand in the world at one point or another.
