At this year’s Last Gadget Standing competition at CES, the top prize went to the Shure MV88+ Video Kit, a digital stereo condenser microphone designed to be an all-in-one solution for capturing professional-quality on-the-go audio and video recordings. It includes a clamp, mount, and cables for connecting the microphone to an iOS or Android phone, a tripod, and both audio and video applications for setting up and editing your recordings. It looked very nice, and a big boon for people who are podcasting or making YouTube videos that they want to sound better than the audio you typically get off of your phone.

The People’s Choice award, which goes to the product that got the most online votes, went to the HP Spectre Folio, a laptop with a leather cover and an unusual foldable design.
